If anyone was looking for Rosa that day, they could find her in Glimmer. Even if one wasn't looking for her, it'd be easy to find her, too--after all, how often do you see Pokémon lounging around the sports fields? Serperior is stretched out to his full length, sunning himself, while Ampharos, Arcanine, and Milotic are watching Gallade and their trainer kick around a gem-toned soccer ball around the field. Gallade's movements are a bit clumsy, as if he's not used to the sport, and Rosa's... in truth, aren't much better. She at least has the basics down, but she hasn't exactly had the best practice...

For a while there, Kita was happy watching her off to the side in a pretty unnoticeable spot - until one of her shots came flying his way. It's no problem though; a quick jump and he manages to trap it against his ankle, doing a small flip to show off before landing with his foot on the ball.
'Course, he's not gonna make her run all the way over to get it - he'll dribble it over himself, stopping it and giving her a small smile.

"It's nice to see someone else who plays, here. I thought I was the only one for a while."

Both Rosa and Gallade look on, rather impressed, and the trainer smiles when he dribbles the ball over.

"I honestly don't play that often--you can probably tell, huh? Most of what I know comes from watching a team back home practice." She scratches the back of her head. "I've been trying to learn, though!"

"I wouldn't mind teaching you, if you'd like," he says, giving her a warmer smile, "I was captain of my soccer team back home, so I'm used to teaching new members."

Which is true, of course - the only first year he didn't have to train was Hayabusa, who came as-is straight from the amazing player factory. He kicks the ball up then, to bounce it on his knee a bit. Even though it looks like it's made of a huge gemstone, it's surprisingly soft... that's just weird.

"Oh! That'd be wonderful, thank you." She beams and Gallade bows before taking this opportunity to excuse himself from the field. Rosa watches the Pokémon walk off before she turns back towards Kita. "My name's Rosa, by the way. It's nice to meet you."

He drops the ball again, stopping it with his foot and extending a hand for a handshake. "Kita Ichiban - it's a pleasure to meet you, too. ... Would you like to talk for a bit? I've never met someone anyone from the other worlds, yet..."

She gladly accepts the handshake, giving a rather firm one. "Certainly. I haven't had much of an opportunity myself, either. Let's go sit over by my Pokémon!" She gestures over to them with a smile. The Arcanine looks over at the pair, tilting her head.

Kita blinks at her, before blinking at the Pokemon. "... Your 'Pokemon'? So they're not locals?" He was so sure...

"Definitely not! They came with me from my world!"

The Fire-type rises to her feet before trotting over. She nuzzles Rosa momentarily before sniffing at Kita. "Ah... That would be Coreiseuse. She's what we call an 'Arcanine' back in my world. Cory, lay down." The Arcanine backs away from Kita and complies; Rosa sits down and leans against her, motioning for Kita to do the same.

"Oh, ah... I see."

He's obviously hesitating a little - it's a big tiger dog, after all, who wouldn't - but he trusts that if that "Arcanine" does anything, Rosa'll stop her. So... he sits cross legged next to Rosa, looking behind him a bit at Coreiseuse. "They're friendly, at least; I've never seen anything like them, though... in my world, we just have things like normal cats and dogs..."

Rosa can at least understand the caution. Given what she's seen and experienced, why wouldn't she?

"They're... pretty much everywhere in my world." She idly strokes Coreiseuse's fur as she talks. "They can be kind of scary, but if you treat them well, they're nothing to be afraid of!" She pauses, before giving a wry smile. "Honestly, it's more the people you should look out for than the Pokémon. No Pokémon is inherently bad, it's just that their trainers will sometimes make them do bad things..."

"I suppose that makes sense... it's like that with pets in my world. 'Don't blame the animal, blame the owner'." This conversation is making him miss his own pet back home, of course...

"They seem like good companions, though. I'm kind of envious."

"Yeah, it's basically the same thing. Although, we have to exercise a lot of caution in my world--for example, Coreiseuse here can breathe fire if she wanted!" She smiles fondly. "They're the greatest friends I could ask for. We've got all kinds of Pokemon back home!"

There's a moment as she shifts and digs into her bag, pulling out her Pokedex. "Here, you can look through this, if you'd like!"

"Really? You'll let me?" It's asked, but there's really no hesitation as he accepts the Pokedex - which is easy enough to figure out, luckily. He starts going through them almost immediately, taking only a second or two for each entry due to how many there are.

"It's recorded every Pokemon I've ever met! The ones I've actually caught have more detailed entries."

She leans back against the Arcanine in the meantime, closing her eyes and enjoying the peace.

"This is amazing... There's so many."

He pauses on one for a second, before flipping through some more. He even goes quiet for a little while, before stopping for a moment to speak.

"It, ah... it's probably nice having your friends with you, right?"

"It is. I do miss my human friends from back home, though..."

"A comrade's a comrade, though, but I know how you feel." Here, he hands back the pokedex. "I don't have anyone from my home here. Or anything, actually."

Well, he does have soccer, yes - but that was already in this world when he arrived. Really, that was just a stroke of luck. Other than that, though...

She puts the Pokedex away, closing her eyes. "I'm sorry to hear that. I was lucky enough to have my stuff with me when I was brought here, but it's apparently not the case for everyone..." She pauses, before adding, "Then again, I tend to carry everything I need with me, so it kind of makes sense..."

Arata's been watching the spectacle not far from them both - hiding behind a tree until he's finished his calculations and gathering his data.
Once that's done, though... well, hopefully they don't mind an interruption, because he's speeding out and sliding that ball away from Gallade; stopping just to kick the ball on his knee and give her a cocky looking grin.

After that - well, it's time to show off, right? Which is just what he'll do! He kicks runs towards one of the goals, skillfully dribbling it, before taking it and himself up into the air for a shoot - one that Rosa's probably never seen in her life.
That is - his foot seems to catch fire as he spins up in the air, the ball turning into a huge ball of flame as it streams into the goal. Fire tornado, anyone?

Gallade jumps back in surprise at Arata's sudden appearance, stunned, and Rosa is almost a perfect mirror of the action.

Her jaw drops as she watches him dribble and shoot--and she's clearly not the only one impressed! Her team gathers around to stare in awe at the shoot. Rosa gives a low whistle as the ball hits the net--but immediately afterwards, there's an eruption of applause and cheering from the small crowd of seven that's now watching Arata.

And that's exactly what he wanted; at the applause he turns to face them all with the proudest damn look. ... He was well aware they seem to only have the basics down, but that just makes them easier to show off to.

Once the applause dies down, he finally speaks up. "You haven't been playing long at all, have you?"

"Hit the nail right on the head, I'm afraid. I've only been playing for a few days..." She and Gallade exchange a look. "If that. Up until recently, I just used to watch a professional team back home play." Rosa scratches the back of her head. "I've never had anyone to actually practice with except Excalibur here, and..." She turned to the Psychic-type briefly. "... no offense, buddy, but you're not exactly prime material to practice against, even if you're more humanoid than the others."

The Gallade shrugs as if to say "None taken."

"If you need practice, you'd need someone closer to your level; I could try, but that's a lot of skill dampening... I can't promise I'd help you improve!"

He does give the ball a soft kick though, passing it over to Rosa. It's better than nothing, right?
